This tab allows you to see the bottom relief at the site you have chosen. On the picture you can see special signs that show the essential characteristics of this site. These signs stand for depth, text explanations, fish, etc. Some of the signs are active. If you click a sign, which stands for fish with the left mouse button, either the image or video (3D model) of this fish will appear on the screen. You may feel free to explore all signs on the screen.
To enlarge the picture click the icon. To go back press Esc button on your keyboard.
Some signs can be added or edited. When the cursor is placed on the sign it may change its appearance. If the cursor looks like a hand with the little finger stretched, it means that the sign is editable.
You can make some object invisible by pressing CTRL+F for fish, CTRL+R for lines, CTRL+O for all other objects.
If you look to the left-hand side of the panel, you can see the sign types you are allowed to add into the picture:

Route.
or . Click the button and drag the pointer while holding down the left mouse button. If you have chosen the button, there will be a smooth line on the screen. A poly-line appears if you’ve chosen the button. Let go the mouse button while it’s on the start point and move the cursor to the next button. Make a click on each point. If you want to finish, click the right mouse button.
The route cannot be changed or replaced. To be able to change it you have to delete it (click the right mouse button and choose the Delete item) and then make a new version of the route. You can edit the type of a route line by clicking the route with the right mouse button and choosing the Edit item on the list. A new Edit Route dialogue window will appear.
On the panel you can see the latest route line installations. There is a wide range of characteristics that can be changed: you can arrange lines for main and reserve routs (they are showed in continuous and dotted lines), currents (wide blue line), positions of anchor chains, etc.
- Text box. The
or sign shows that the text on the screen can appear with or without a frame. You can drag and drop this sign over the appropriate place on the picture. You can also use a special panel to edit its content.
- Fish
. Marine species appear on the screen only in the full screen mode . They can be selected from the Encyclopedia list. This sign, which you may drag and drop over any part of the picture, describes fish species you can meet during your dive.

Depth.
You can drag and drop this sign over the appropriate place on the picture. It displays the depth at the chosen point, which may be measured either in feet or in meters. After changing the measurement scale on the Option panel, the program will recalculate the numbers automatically.
You can use the following signs: , or with arrows and additional texts. You can edit them from the special panel.
- Pressure
. This sign can be dragged and dropped at any suitable place on the picture. You can edit it from the special panel. This sign shows the pressure in your cylinders while you’re diving. Depending on the settings of the Option panel the pressure will be measured in BAR or PSI. The change of these settings will automatically alter the numbers displayed.
A special button located on the picture allows you to use a cross-link to the next picture, in case there are more images of a given species offered by the site.

Video.
This symbol on the map shows that there is a video fragment describing this diving site. Click it by the left mouse button to play. You can also attach your own video of a chosen site. To do this, drag and drop this icon over any part of the picture you prefer. Click it by the right mouse button and choose the Edit map item on the list. The Edit Video dialogue window will appear.
Choose the Show Video item in the Action Type line. Click the button to browse the video files.
Note. You must have appropriate video codec and file extension (AVI, MPEG, etc) to play the video file.

Photo
. This symbol shows that you can see the picture of the chosen site. Click it with the left mouse button to see it. You can also attach new photos to a chosen site. To do this, drag and drop this icon at a suitable place on the picture. Click it by the right mouse button and choose the Edit map item on the list. The Edit Picture dialogue will appear on the screen.
Choose the Show picture item in the Action type line. Click the button to browse the image files. You can use only BMP or JPG images.
- Signs of Dangers:
and . Place these signs in any suitable part of the map.
- North direction
. The north direction is shown as a blue arrow shaped like the letter "N". Click the button and drag the pointer to an appropriate place on the picture while holding down the left mouse button. Release the button and place the cursor in the north direction. After that click any mouse button.
- Boat and yacht. Click the button
and drag the pointer to any suitable place on the picture while holding down the left mouse button. Release the button and move the cursor in the direction of the rostrum. Then click any mouse button.
Some sites have 3D-models. In case you’ve picked one, you can view it after clicking the corresponding button . This module allows you to get the clear idea of the surface landscape of the site where you are going to perform your dive.
You can make a fascinating venture deep below the surface of water in this 3D environment which is practically the same as the real underwater world. Control your movements in both horizontal and vertical directions by using the keyboard buttons. Navigate your position keeping an eye on the compass and altimeter located on the tool-bar. You can record your journey and then replay it, enjoying your diving experiences over and over again.
With the help of the tool-bar, you can adjust the video and picture quality. Moreover, you can choose from a wide variety of objects located on the screen, for instance, boats, buoys, various underwater objects, etc.
Free Diving mode will help you to explore the 3D diving space freely by using your mouse and keyboard keys for navigation. This module automatically transfers you to this mode right after the loading.
Use the mouse or the following keys to move in various directions:
- W forward;
- S backward;
- A left;
- D right;
- Z downward;
Use the Shift key together with any key mentioned above to accelerate the corresponding movement. From the special Setup tool-bar you can get an access to the settings of this module and also record your journey.
To get back to the screen mode, press the Esc key.
From this panel you will have an access to the following features:
- The left-hand button on the setup panel enables switching between the two modes: an empty sea bottom and the sea filled with various underwater animals, corals, fish etc.
- The second button shows the objects you have placed on the virtual diving area from the Dive Site tab in the Dive Site Map module.
- To get rid of the water, use the third button. Click again if you want the water to return.
- Adjust the picture visibility and quality using the corresponding sliders.
- Record new routes and replay the routes you have previously recorded.
- Use the Height field to change the height.
- Use the Compass tool to change the direction of your viewing orientation.
Warning
In this mode you cannot use the mouse to change directions inside the 3D world. Instead, use the Compass and Height tools. All keyboard combinations also work here.
You can record a route through the 3D world. To do this, go to the Setup mode and press the Record button. From now on all your movements will be recorded.
Tip
To make it easier to move, you can exit Setup mode and continue recording in the Free Diving mode where using your mouse is possible.
To stop the recording, press the Record button again. The recording will be stored in the database under the corresponding number.
You can play any recording you have previously made. To do this, choose the route number and press the Play button. The selected recording will be immediately played. To stop the movie, click the Play button again.
You can add other objects to this mode. For example, a ship, the entrance and exit point, arrow directions and different markers. A detailed map of the selected site is located on the same tab. Here you can add current information to 3D model . This information is given in the form of clear and comprehensible signs, which are easy to understand with the help of the corresponding tool tips.
At the left-hand side of this window you will see a number of icons. By selecting from among them, you can manage the appearance of the objects located on the map.
After you've made a virtual route at a given site, you can see it on the map. Choose any route number from the list to highlight it on the map.
To add various map items to the Virtual Diving module, drag them from the Add Map Item and drop them on the map.
You can also add a grid to the map and show all the predefined routes by choosing the appropriate button under the Select heading.
Ship wreck information. Press button to view a historical record about ship wrecks. You will see a special table with detailed information.
